With hardly any adjustments to the original design, this humble skeleton gun has remained a mainstay in the trade for decades. The 3C Cox Skeleton Gun is still the same go to choice of applicator tool (especially for internal mastic joint sealant application) but in 3C red.

Sitting in the slightly higher end of the basic skeleton gun market, one must consider that, compared to any generic, cheap and cheerful mastic caulking guns commonly found in the DIY stores, the 3C Cox Skelton Gun will outlast all of these often mostly plastic applicator guns.

Versatile applicator - Use for various sized cartridges

The 3C Cox Skeleton gun is a medium duty tool for most mastic sealant consistencies from low to high viscosity. Suitable for cartridges from 290ml - 400ml (150ml co-axial carts also possible) and features a solid thrust trigger action of approx. 21 x pulls full plunge.

Long history - Tried & tested over decades

When it comes to hand tools, the old adage, 'if it aint broke don't fix it' rings true for many trades and that's why we didn't try to re-invent the wheel with the 3C Cox Pro Gun, instead opting for a customised version of the old faithful PC Cox Professional Gun, used for over 30 years!

Normally thought of as a 'mastic' or 'caulking' gun, the 3C Cox Skeleton Gun is suitable for a variety of rubberised liquid materials such as silicone, polyurethane, butyl, polysulphide, hybrid or modified polymers but with the influx of many cartridge applied adhesives, an applicator tool that has a better thrust than a generic DIY Skeleton gun or similar is a very handy tool for any tradespersons or home users toolbox so with that in mind, the 3C Cox Skeleton Gun can definitely be considered as a worthy adhesive or glue applicator gun for those products with a slightly lower viscosity!    

No. The anti-drip or as Cox call it on their Powerflow Cartridge & Powerflow HP Guns... pressure relief device (PRD) was introduced on professional skeleton guns as standard several years ago and most of the guns without were phased out. This proved to be a contentious issue and not to everyone's taste, thus many tradespersons especially those who specialise in mastic joint sealant application complained and campaigned rigorously for the re-introduction of guns without so that's why we had our 3C Cox Skeleton Gun customised WITHOUT the flick switch attachment. Love it or hate it, we chose to go oldskool!
