3C CONSTRUCTION FOAM FAQ's
When fully cured, being a polyurethane, 3C Construction Foam offers many finishing options such as sawing, cutting and then consequently plastering, painting and over coating. Its lightweight structure makes it very forgiving for shaping and concealing.
To make the product more user-friendly, as well as using a dedicated foam gun (recommended for professional use and available separately) you can also extrude the 3C Construction Foam with a simple disposable plastic nozzle attachment (sold separately). Both give you good control of the flow and direction of spray. Whilst the nozzles make the overall cost more economical, if using more than a can at a time, the best user experience will be the gun in general.
Although marketed as an expanding foam filler, 3C Construction Foam can be used as an adhesive for bonding of lightweight items such as insulation panels which are polystyrene-based (XPS or EPS) and light, polyurethane PUR & PIR but please note; this is only in internal situations as the cured foam is not UV resistant.
Historically, expanding foams are known for their crazy, wild expansion with lots of wastage due to over-filling. 3C Construction Foam purposely exhibits low expansion whilst still providing high volume yield from every can. This means that the flow and control of the foam's destination is much more precise. The user will find that with this decreased expansion, (when compared to regular expanding foams) they can be more accurate with application, saving money and time in the long run.
