In short no. As with all things wood related, it's normally water ingress that's the root of all problems leading to mould, decay and rot so the dryer the timber is, the more sound it is to make good. When making repairs with 3C 2 in 1 Wood Repair it's just as important to ensure that your substrates are as dry as is possible to allow for a good bite or bond from the resin to the surface of the void. Often, a meter is used to determine the level of moisture in the timber with a minimum amount being advised as preferable to begin work. A useful complementary addition to this product when repairing/fixing/bonding timber is the Stabiliser/Primer which we sell separately.

With Wood Repair 2 in 1 the materials extruded from 2 x separate chambers in the single cartridge thus you'll see 2 x different colours of material come out when gunned. To assist you with the mix and subsequent application, the 2 x parts of Wood Repair extrude as: Part A= Greeny-Beige / Part B= Yellowy-Beige. When mixed properly, the final wet resin mix will be a distinctly even Light slightly Greeny Beige colour. When the application is fully dry (after a minimum of 8 x hours) this, in turn finishes to a slightly lighter almost transparent-looking, Greeny-Beige colour.  To get a visual idea of these colours, please see the pictures on the Technical Datasheet (available to view/download above) 

By combining the 2 components of our epoxy resin Wood Repair system into a single mastic sealant style cartridge design, we've designed a product that's accessible for all types of users, from home user, DIY enthusiasts right up to structural engineers, this means that to extrude the material, a single, standard skeleton gun can be used. Please note, the plunger that pushes the material out from the bottom coupled with the actual (double) material itself, is fairly tough to extrude so a decent quality gun is advised (rather than a cheap DIY style gun) Another useful, complementary addition to this product when repairing/fixing/bonding timber is the Stabiliser/Primer which we sell separately.
