So as not to pigeon-hole it into any certain categories, we like to think that 3C Matt Silicone is a true allrounder as far as silicones go. As well as being formulated for use on natural stones such as cills, upstands, worktops, tiles and more made from popular materials such as sandstone, quartzite, granite, gneiss and marble, 3C Matt Silicone has excellent weathering capabilities making it a great choice for all external applications such as expansion joints in brick and concrete walls, all types of glazing and partition walls. With the addition of an anti-mould additive, it holds up tremendously well in all high humidity sanitary situations such as bathrooms, kitchens (did we mention it has a safe for food contact certification) and can also be used around the outside of  swimming pools and spa areas.   

As with all sealant products, the usability is a key factor. 3C Matt Silicone is a premium product and is therefore intended to be used for high end applications where a neat and aesthetically pleasing finish is presented. We worked closely with trade professionals and considered this point strongly when formulating the product and like to think that it's up there with the very best silicone sealing products on the market today when it comes to initial application, working time, smoothing, tooling and the subsequent finish.

In accordance with the certification FDA code 21 §177.2600 (e), 3C Matt Silicone is passed for use as a cured rubber product to be used in areas where contact with food is likely. What Does "FDA Compliant" Mean? "FDA compliant" means that a material meets all of the FDA's guidelines for safe, direct contact with food. It's essentially an official way of saying a material is "food grade." To be FDA compliant, a material must be able to withstand the environment it will be used in.  Although there are higher accreditations for food contact, the code associated with 3C Matt Silicone alongside high resistance to high and low temperatures makes the sealant a great option for use in both facilities where food is processed and also in places where food is prepared, stored and served.
