3C MIXING BOARDS FAQ's
Our boards are wax-free and designed to be fairly robust without compromising on being overly heavy and over-sized for purpose but obviously with the rigours of everyday use of multiple hand tools against it such as metal scrapers and spatulas, they will eventually, of course, exhibit some signs of wear & tear. That said, we're sure you'll be pleasantly surprised with the durability of the 3C Mixing Boards and replace like for like when the time is right!
As explained directly above, 3C Plastic Mixing Boards are designed to be durable, meaning that, they're stiff enough to do a good job of allowing the mixing of many different stiff materials and can withstand the harsh edges of hand tools scraping and digging at them but they're not so stiff and thick as to be too heavy for carrying and moving around from job to job!
Whilst they are designed for mixing soft materials that subsequently harden upon curing like putties & resins (epoxy resin in our case), there's no real reason why the 3C Mixing Boards can't be used for other tasks where a hard-wearing mixing platform is required. We do occasionally hear of customers using our boards for smoothing out acrylic fillers etc.
