Although officially noted as a 1-2 x hour(s) drying time, 3C Quick Fill can often accept a coating after a very short while (dependant on the temperature and humidity in the room at the time) with little or no preparation required (such as sanding etc.) Always test a very small area first!

Virtually shrink-free - Useable on many different surfaces

Many 1-part fillers that offer fast drying times come at a cost of exhibiting quite extreme shrinkage as the water evaporates. 3C Quick Fill is designed to be a high quality rapid 1K filler based on acrylic dispersion with practically no loss of material in the gap, crack or scuff.

3C QUICK FILL FAQ's

Our sales team tend to encounter similar general enquiries, queries or frequently asked questions (FAQ’S) on a daily basis. The list below will assist you with some of these questions to help you decide if the product is suitable for you. If you have any other questions at all, please use the contact box.

The simple answer is no! The fact that acrylics are water-based means that external conditions will not favour their cure systems and even when fully cured, they tend not to fair well with weather extremities such as high UV or any kind of rain, breaking down to dust. So, with this in mind and considering there's a multitude of products available specifically for external applications, we hold firm on the fact that if the joint, gap or crack is in a fully open, exposed location, then 3C Quick Fill should NOT be used! If repairing timber of any kind, please consider using one of our dedicated 3C wood fillers - click here to see. 

The quick answer is actually no, you can squeeze 3C Quick Fill directly from the handy tube into or onto the gap, crack or scuff and leave it to cure but obviously for better control over the shaping and smoothing of the filler, we'd recommend using a plastic or metal spatula or similar to effectively push the material into the void and leave slightly proud each time with a view to a light sanding down when fully cured.  

Although 3C Quick Fill is essentially an acrylic filler, with it's excellent high tensile strength on full cure, it does indeed lend itself to tasks where putty would be the natural choice, however, the flexibility and movement wouldn't be perfect and we have dedicated products for use as putties for this very reason.
