3C Multi-Use Clear is a great all-round adhesive with decent grab properties and is quite forgiving of slightly damp conditions. It can be used to stick onto (or bond together) aluminium, galvanized and stainless steel, zinc, copper, natural stone, wood, glass, brickwork and more.

Use as a see-through sealant - Seal gaps and joins

Whether using internally or externally, 3C Multi-Use Clear seals connections to create a perfect, flexible dust and weatherseal between most substrates used in construction and decorating allowing the design and/or colour of the substrates below to still show through.

Invisible bonding - When transparency is required

Often in design and build, joints and butts are placed at an area where the aesthetics call for fixings or connections to be invisible to the eye. For example, 3C Multi-Use Clear can be used unseen to bond items such as trims and handles to glass doors & windows etc.

Damp tolerant - Use in slightly wet conditions

When using products that cure in most external construction projects, remedial or decorative work, it's desirable for the surface to be bone dry that's going to be bonded or sealed but of course, this isn't always possible. 3C Multi-Use Clear tolerates moist surfaces well.

Is Multi-Use Clear a sealant that bonds or an adhesive that seals?

This is obviously a bit of a trick question in as much as, of course, 3C Multi-Use Clear is an all-in-one product but alas, there are several similar products on the market that are primarily marketed as one or the other and which then can in turn be used for the other type of task. Our aim with this material was to create a toolbox favourite for many applications in a range of RAL colours that are most suited to common shades used in construction and decorating trends and also a Clear option to use when transparent seals or bonds are required. The result is a true DIY legend and a very useful and effective professional tradespersons goto snagging list workhorse!

Can Multi-Use Clear be used externally for sealing & bonding?

Yes it's a great choice for outside use. Unlike some all-in-one adhesive & sealant products on the market which are made for internal use only, 3C Multi-Use Clear was designed as a true all-rounder for multiple jobs where a transparent seal or bond is required. With its rugged final cure and excellent flexibility, Multi-Use Clear is capable of dealing with UV and adverse weathering, making it a perfect fixer & sealer for most external construction applications also. PLEASE NOTE: Caution should always be used when using clear hybrid polymer based products externally with regards to discolouration, especially with UV changing the transparency of the cured material.

Can Multi-Use Clear be used as a grab adhesive?

Although not a traditional grip (or grab) adhesive, the 3C Multi-Use colours are great performers for quick initial grab on light work jobs such as skirting boards and UPVC extrusions etc. Please note; in testing, the Clear didn't perform quite as well as the colours (due to slightly different ingredients). However, if the substrates are supported during cure, then the final strength is fantastic! The nasty chemicals used in old fashioned grip adhesives were (still are) effective but very volatile in nature for both the user and the environment and are fast becoming extinct in the marketplace due to this fact! Hybrid polymer adhesives are now used widely across many trades and have become just as popular for DIY use also. In the video we made, we used Multi-Use (White) to stick a block of timber to our warehouse floor to act as a stopper for the forklift truck, it grabbed the surface very well and is still there in place to this day (over 2 x years later as of March 21) See it here."

Can Multi-Use Clear be used to bond and seal natural stone?

As with silicone sealants, when using a material to bond or seal natural stone, a risk of staining or leeching as its known, is always present. Basically, in a nutshell, the plasticisers and oils used in many popular sealant products to cure the material tends to bleed from the main substance when extruded wet and cause unsightly staining on most natural stone surfaces. 3C Multi-Use Clear as we've mentioned previously, was developed to be a true all-rounder and thus was formulated to have a non-staining cure system making it ideal for using to both bond and seal all natural stones.
